Rains bring in relative increase in humidity, water stagnation, rise in infectious diseases and a certain amount of sultriness causing lethargy. Muddy footprints at the doorsteps, wet clothes leaving a trail of water droplets on the floor and uncleaned washrooms act as dampeners even before one’s day starts in the office. Preventive and Protective measures scheduled by the housekeeping before and during rains respectively, in various sectors and complexes play an important role in simplifying maintenance.
If getting wet in the rains and yet appearing presentable is challenging to us, as much as it is for the housekeeping professionals to keep the premises clean and dry during the monsoon. No doubt, rains call for regular and timely maintenance (mending cracks and leakages) to ensure cleanliness and hygiene, but at the same time, getting the preventive maintenance schedule in place could go a long way in combating the monsoon blues.
