Composting in SWM – A Report
Composting is the most widely employed MSWM technique in India, with above 70 composting plants. Most of these composting facilities handle between 100-1000 TPD of MSW. It is estimated that up to 6% of MSW collected is composted which makes it the only major waste handling technology employed in India.
