For effective implementation of e-waste disposal, the Odisha Government has engaged five private agencies for disposal of e-waste and has also issued public notices in localities on the same.
Producers of e-waste have been instructed to channelise such material generated from their units through authorised collection centres or recycle as per e-waste (Management and Handling) Rules, 2011.
The five agencies authorised by the state government to collect and dispose e-waste are – Green Vortex Waste Management Private Limited, Greenex India Resources Private Limited, Bhubaneswar, Green Circle Environment Private Limited, Pollution Control & Management System and Saniclean Private Limited, Khurda.
