Mumbai Airport extends its green philosophy

In sync with its vision of increasing green cover, GVK-led Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) authorities and employees recently undertook a tree plantation drive at Tetavli, a degraded forest land at Rabale in Maharashtra. This was a prelude to celebrating Van Mahotsav, the annual tree plantation festival.

GVK MIAL kept their yearly tree plantation tradition alive by planting over 1200 saplings and plants at the drive. The entire plantation drive was held across 6 acres of land with an aim to convert it into a fertile field. Furthermore, to make sure that the planted saplings are well taken care of, MIAL has partnered with a local NGO to maintain and nurture the plants on a regular basis.
