Middle East Cleaning Technology Week will return to Dubai in 2022

Will allow more time for the industry to recover

Middle East Cleaning Technology Week, the region’s leading exhibition for the commercial cleaning and hygiene industries, will return to Dubai, UAE in 2022, joint organisers Messe Frankfurt Middle East (MFME) and VIS have announced.

The 6th edition of the three-day event was to run in September 2021. However, after careful consideration and extensive consultation with stakeholders and trade partners, the decision to move the show to 2022 will allow more time for the industry to recover.

Shyam Parmar, Project Manager at Messe Frankfurt Middle East, said: “Although Middle East Cleaning Technology Week has built support locally from the Dubai Municipality along with international partners and signed up a number of exhibitors, overall the exhibition has been significantly impacted by the current market conditions.

“Our research shows that many companies have suffered a downturn in business over the last 18 months within the industry, with airports, hotels and commercial laundries having been affected the most.”

“Although we have seen a number of success stories, the commercial cleaning and laundry industries need more time to recover before a successful event can take place,” added Parmar.  “We’re confident that when Middle East Cleaning Technology Week returns in 2022, we will have full support of the industry in a period where the green shoots of recovery will be well and truly breaking through.”

Middle East Cleaning Technology Week comprises Clean Middle East Expo, Gulf Car Wash, and Gulf Laundrex presented by Texcare, meeting the 360 degree needs of commercial and industrial cleaning, facilities and waste management, car and auto cleaning, laundry and dry-cleaning.

With the support of government and associations, a revised show programme will provide more value for visitors and exhibitors, with topical content discussed at a three-day conference, and further learning opportunities via workshops and accredited training.

Middle East Cleaning Technology Week is part of Messe Frankfurt’s industry sector textile care, cleaning and cleanroom technologies. Texcare International is the leading international trade fair for the textile care sector. The upcoming edition will be held from 27 November – 1 December 2021 in Frankfurt, Germany.
