Legislative panel inspects sanitation work in Doda

The Legislative Assembly Committee on Environment in J&K inspected Doda district municipal areas, government hospital and various solid waste management plant to review sanitation and cleanliness facilities. The committee including Chairman MLA Inderwal GM Saroori along with legislators Shyam Lal Bhagat, Naresh Gupta, Krishan Lal and senior officers, visited these areas.

During the visit, the committee praised the beautification work carried out by the Doda municipality at various sites including Town Hall, Community Hall, new bus stand and old hospital building. The committee also directed the agency officials to ensure timely completion of renovation works under progress at the old hospital, Doda. The EO municipality also asked to cover the garbage at the dumping site near the bus stand. The DC has also been directed to prepare a pilot project to develop the municipalities.
