Kalpataru Hospitality & Facility Management Services –

Quality service is much in demand

————————————————————————————————————————————————–

The demand for qualified cleaning services outstrips supply. There is unlimited growth potential for anyone entering the commercial cleaning industry, says Ravindra Hegde, MD of Kalpataru Hospitality and Facility Management Services Pvt Ltd.

————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Mumbai based ISO-9001-2000 certified Kalpataru Hospitality and Facility Management Services Pvt Ltd has recently bagged the contract for providing total facility management at guesthouses at Tirumala Devasthanam and at Tirupat.

Maintaining guest houses where the guest traffic is very high needs good planning and execution. Instantaneous action is required to ensure utmost cleanliness and sanitation in the rooms. The premises and precincts have to be kept clean always, to ensure that pilgrims do not encounter any hurdles. The schedules are 24×7 and the job is executed with meticulous planning. There are 1275 rooms to be maintained.

“Apart from routine housekeeping, we also take care of fumigation and supply manpower for electrical, plumbing, carpentry, laundry services or for lift operations,” says Hegde.

Kalpataru has deployed around 450 housekeeping staff and 250 skilled forces to execute the different functions. In order to give quality performance, Kalpataru has deployed single disc scrubbing machine, wet and dry vacuum machine, vacuum machines, auto scrubbers and jet pressure machines of Diversey at the sites.

Kalpataru is one of the two housekeeping companies awarded the CWG Games Village maintenance job. “Here we are deploying equipment like wet & dry vacuum cleaners, industrial vacuum cleaners, janitorial trolley, wringer trolley and scrubbing machine with nylon brush. This ensures quality performance.

With the growth in the cleaning industry, the expectations of the customers are also high. The reasons for a strong growth of the cleaning service are obvious: The commercial cleaning industry is viewed by many financial analysts as recession resistant and highly stable. “As long as there are commercial buildings, office complexes, banks, retail shopping centres, industrial facilities and medical centres, there will always be a need for quality-minded cleaning professionals, regardless of economic conditions. As new buildings are completed and new businesses opened, there will be more commercial cleaning opportunities. That growth is predicted to come as a result of the rising pace in new business formation and expansion activity, says Hegde. Healthcare, education and other private facilities will provide the best growth opportunities for cleaning services. However, office buildings will continue to comprise the largest commercial cleaning segment through 2012, followed by government buildings, institutions, retail/wholesale establishments and industrial facilities.

Kalpataru has been providing the following integrated facility management services to different segments – government, corporates, banking, airports, railways, public sector undertakings, townships and temples. Its services offerings include housekeeping Industrial housekeeping, electro mechanical services, landscaping and gardening, guest house management, pest control, office support and solid waste management.

In view of the increasing demand for quality service, it is essential to embrace the following values:

  • Continuous skill improvement
  • Technological upgradation
  • Mechanised operations
  • Instantaneous reaction to customer needs
  • Improvement and innovations
  • Integrity in all dealings
  • Team work
  • Delivery services

With over 4000 janitors working in around 150 sites, Kalpataru has offices in Ahmedabad, Jharkhand, Hyderabad, Chennai, Tirupati and Delhi.
