Human hair waste can be converted into useful nutrients for plants show studies. When human hair waste mixed with compost starts degenerating and mineralising, it is capable of providing sufficient nutrients to container-grown plants or houseplants and provide similar yields to those obtained while using other kinds of fertilizers and manure. However, yields could be lower than in those plants using inorganic treatment, which means hair waste cannot be used as a single source of nutrients for fast-growing plants.
