The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) and Airport Authority of India (AAI) have set a new guideline to keep the area near the Ahmedabad airport garbage free. Acting on a regulation set by the National Bird Control Committee, they will charge anyone who is found dumping solid waste near the airport a fine of Rs one lakh. Ahmedabad, along with Mumbai, Delhi and Nagpur, was declared as critical city for the rise in bird-hit cases.
