Clean India Show 2012-A Spectacular Event of the Cleaning Industry

P G Ramesh, Shimoga Municipal Commissioner
Clean India Show has been able to showcase new and relevant products and technologies which have been instrumental in educating people about cleanliness and hygiene. The new equipment and technologies can be a boon for municipalities and industries. We have found road sweepers as an effective solution for road sweeping at the show. City Municipal Council of Shimoga collects 160 tonnes of waste daily and has given the contract to Ramky Enviro Technologies for waste segregation. While door to door collection is being followed in some of the areas, the council plans to intensify collection and segregation in association with NGOs.

Sanjay Bajaj, Director, Geekay Industrial Services: “We came to the show to introduce garbage bins and compactors ranging from 120 litres to 1100 litres in the hospitality and Food Processing industries.”

The idea is to make the company get a feel of the Southern markets like Kerala and Tamil Nadu. We could accomplish 80% of our objective by meeting end customers, tapping the dealer network and channel partners. We got professionals from hospitality, IT, healthcare, contract manufacturing industries and corporate.”

Constanze Schweizer, General Manager, Sapor
We are one of the oldest companies in Europe in dispensing production. We have been to the Indian market for the first time and could meet many prospective clients. The coverage in the October, November and December 2012 issue of Clean India Journal helped us, as many clients recognised us. The quality of the meeting during the show was very high and people were very refined. We now plan to work with some of them and find out the right partner for exclusive contracts.

Sapor was never in India. So for India, it is a new product. Originally it is a quite old product. It fills the link between a simple bar soap kept in a washroom table and a dispenser kept for hygienic reasons. Organizations recommend that people should not use soap bar and dispenser is a better hygiene solution. But liquid soap dispensers can leak and break; they are not long lasting and expensive. Not everybody can afford to have a liquid soap dispenser in the washroom. So for that reason people are now interested in our product. It will fulfill a lot of needs of the Indian market.

Gaurav Pathak, Director, Thoron Turnkey: “We want to promote a range of steam cleaners for hotel, hospitality, IT, high residential apartments and Steam Master Series industrial range for Food Processing, Cosmetic, Pharma, Dairies, Heavy industry and Automotive sectors. Clients from healthcare, FM, Army, Railways and manufacturing industries approached us during the show.”
