DI BELLA COFFEE India is coming up with seven outlets across Mumbai City, Maharashtra. The outlets are scheduled for inauguration in November 2015. The company will invest Rs.330 million in the next one year to increase its stores to 25 in the country from the present 10. The cafe chain recently tied up with the Australian Retail College, which is supported by the Australian government, to train manpower in food and beverage (F&B) skills, coffee brewing, soft skills and grooming. The training would happen at the Barista training center which will be set up by the company by the end of this year in Mumbai.

CHANDIGARH INTERNATIONAL Airport, a JV between Airports Authority of India (AAI) and the Governments of Punjab and Haryana, inaugurated a new terminal at Chandigarh Airport in September 2015. The terminal will handle both domestic as well as international flights. Designed on the green building concept, the terminal is spread over 53,000sqm and can handle 1,600 passengers, including 450 international travellers. The apron capacity will be eight aircraft, including cargo planes. With parking facility for 500 cars, it is equipped with 48 check-in counters, nine immigration counters, four arrival baggage carousels, three passenger boarding bridges, six escalators and 14 lifts.

The terminal building has five levels with arrival hall at ground floor, departures in the first floor and services, including baggage handling system, and offices in the basement. Built by L&T, the terminal comprises of a sewage treatment plant of 600 KLD, which is based on extended aeration technology, water treatment plant, rain water harvesting, international level baggage handling system and Wi-Fi facilities.

ACCOR HOTELS commissioned Novotel Imagica Khopoli, Mumbai, in September 2015. The property, owned by the Adlabs group and managed by Accor Hotels, has 116 rooms, four restaurants and a bar. The hotel plans to add another 171 rooms and suites later this year taking the inventory to 287 rooms by the first quarter of 2016.

MAHINDRA First Choice has opened its authorized dealer outlet at Eramalloor, Alappuzha district, Kerala in September 2015. The new facility, SAS Motors, is spread across 5000sqft. At present, the company has 95 dealerships in the southern region of India; it plans to expand this number to 125 outlets by the year-end.

DR HOTELS inaugurated the 112 rooms 5-star ‘Renaissance Lucknow Hotel’ (16 floors) at Gomti Nagar, dist. Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh September 2015. Marriott International is the managee. The hotel consists of amenities like Sky roof top bar, infinity swimming pool, fitness center, ‘L-14’ – all-day dining International restaurant,’ Sepia’ – Indian restaurant, ‘Coffee and Cakes’ coffee house, yoga studio, etc.

MAHINDRA AUTO Steel, a subsidiary of Mahindra Intertrade, inaugurated an automotive steel processing facility at Chakan, Pune, Maharashtra in September 2015. The first phase of the facility has been set up over 10 acres of land, with a processing capacity of 100,000TPA. It is equipped with a state-ofthe- art blanking line from Fagor Arrasate of Spain and has been designed for the manufacture of nested blanks. The new facility constructed in accordance to IGBC’s green building norms, and incorporates features such as treatment of non-process wastewater and rainwater harvesting.

PANASONIC INDIA is gearing up to establish a new manufacturing facility for refrigerators that will entail capacity around 10 lakh units annually in the next 18 months

ACROPOLIS, a largest commercial complex, comprising a mall, a multiplex, offices and a club has opened at Rajdanga on Rash Behari Avenue, Kolkata in September 2015. The mall spread over nearly 1 million sqft is expected to be fully operational in a month.

NISSAN MOTOR India intends to open about 300 outlets by end of financial year 2016. In this fiscal, Nissan has opened 18 outlets in India. The new outlets will come up across Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Kashmir.
