Eco Textile Park in Surat

The recently inaugurated Gujarat Eco Textile Park at Surat will produce textile products in an environment friendly way. Among the plant’s salient features are a common effluent treatment plant of 60 MLD, a solid waste-to-energy (Power and Steam) 10 mn kcal/hr incinerator, a 12MW natural-gas-based captive power plant with co-generation of steam, rainwater harvesting, a water supply and storm water drainage system, the use of fly ash in the construction of roads & buildings and a scheme to plant 25,000 trees.
